BALENCIAGA – RETAIL
EM Tecnica delivered MEP engineering for Balenciaga’s flagship store at the corner of New Bond Street and Conduit Street. The design exposes a raw concrete interior behind a glazed façade, contrasting with its luxury surroundings and referencing the building’s original 1939 architecture. Across three levels, aged material finishes are set against integrated lighting and digital displays, with the building core left visibly exposed.
Services were carefully integrated within the open, industrial aesthetic, balancing performance with minimal visual impact. Lighting and electrical systems were seamlessly incorporated into the architecture, while mechanical design ensured comfort without compromising the concept, supporting a bold and unconventional retail environment.
