This building was the subject of an RIBA architectural competition which John Pardey Architects won. Their design was for a contemporary glass and timber structure forming an attached building alongside the existing more traditional house. The building contains the internal swimming pool, ancillary areas and an office/studio. As part of the design process E+M Tecnica carried out full computer thermal dynamic modelling and used the results to influence the shape and specification of the building shell.
