THE PRACTICE

E+M Tecnica is an MEP building services engineering consultancy practice specialising in demanding construction projects that require high-quality architectural standards of design.

The practice has a wide range of experience in all types of construction works however, we specialise in projects such as high-end retail, travel, leisure, commercial and residential projects that require excellence in design detailing and finishes.

ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN

We believe that our role is to work with the architect or designer in the creation of a coordinated building and interior environment. Engineering services should be discreet and carefully integrated into the building fabric. We maintain a strong professional interest in architectural and interior design trends and concerns.

ENGINEERING COMPETENCE

The principal engineers of the practice all have at least ten years’ experience in building services engineering consultancy and possess industry recognised qualifications.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

The practice works strictly to clearly defined quality assurance and administrative systems. No production information is issued without being checked. All designs are subject to formal reviews at critical stages of the design process.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

We employ our own specialist project managers and allocate these to projects with particularly demanding on-site requirements or where agreed with clients.

CONSTRUCTION COST CONTROL

Our aim is to ensure that we provide our clients with the correct specification level for engineering services to suit their budget and operational needs—we do not over specify.

During the design and construction process we work closely with cost consultants and others in the design team to ensure that we reach value-engineered solutions within carefully controlled contractor costs.

CONTRACTOR AND COMMISSIONING MANAGEMENT

MEP building services is a wide-ranging engineering discipline and an area where many end users experience problems and dissatisfaction. Even when systems are correctly designed and installed, poor commissioning often results in inadequate performance.

We specialise in troubleshooting defective systems and the close management of contractors’ operations to ensure that the systems meet client requirements.
