MAX HORWELL

Max established the practice of E+M Tecnica in 1997 and is a senior partner. He is based in the Egham office in Surrey.

Max has extensive experience in retail, leisure and residential work and his client base includes luxury retail brands such as Burberry, Abercrombie and Fitch, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and restaurants including the River Café and The Fat Duck.

Projects undertaken at E+M Tecnica include Flagship stores for Gucci, Burberry, M&M World, Reiss and Paperchase in London, refurbishments of major shopping centres for the Mall Corporation at Bexleyheath, Wood Green and Romford and a number of high-end hotel, restaurant, residential and commercial projects.

Max has undertaken various commissions on behalf of Funding Institutions including the inspection, checking, and review of consultants design works to ensure good design practice, and high levels of specification.

He has a particular interest and specialised knowledge of lighting design.

IAN WARWICK

Ian joined E+M Tecnica in 2001 and became a partner in 2012. He is responsible for the London office in Waterloo.

Ian Warwick - E+M Tecnica Partner

Ian has worked on a number of complex and challenging projects at E+M Tecnica, including several shopping centre developments, a large number of retail projects including Burberry’s Regent Street flagship store, various restaurant projects including the River Café and residential projects.

Amongst his recent projects are two restaurants at the Shard, a large restaurant and night-club for Alan Yau in Mayfair and retail projects for leading department stores.

Ian provides technical leadership for the practice’s mechanical engineering resource and maintains our design standards and disciplines. He specialises in air-conditioning and in the development of bespoke air supply arrangements to suit demanding architectural and operational requirements.

MARK JONES

Mark joined E+M Tecnica in 2001 and became a partner in 2012. He is based at the Egham office and is responsible for most of the practice’s airport and transport work.

Mark Jones - E+M Tecnica Partner

Mark manages a dedicated team of engineers who are security passed for working at many of the main London airports and have a wide range of experience in these locations.

Amongst the many projects that Mark has successfully completed are high profile airport lounges, central search areas, baggage handling projects, security projects, fixed and moveable link bridges and control towers.

Mark co-ordinates the technical services leadership for the airport and transport work areas and ensures that our designs are compliant with the relevant regulations and standards.
